Inter-regional Economic Exchange Program
Tokyo X NRW/Texas SME Partnership Program
Based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that Tokyo Metropolitan Government has signed with the State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW), Germany and with the State of Texas, USA (Texas), we, Tokyo SME Support Center, collaborate with these partner regions to promote business opportunities between SMEs in Tokyo and those in NRW, and SMEs in Tokyo and those in Texas.
Mainly focusing on expansion of SMEs from Tokyo into the partner regions, we foster mutual growth and innovation by leveraging respective economic networks such as sales channel development, business and technical alliances, research and development collaboration.

Our Global Business navigators, who seasoned professionals with extensive overseas business experience, provide Tokyo SMEs with hands-on guidance to establish operations in the partner regions, accompanying them throughout the entire process. We also provide the following types of support:
- Sessions to enhance skills and knowledge for overseas expansion;
- Accompaniment for on-site visits to the partner regions;
- Creation of English-language business materials and videos; and
- Other necessary and appropriate support tailored to the curcumstances.
*SMEs from Tokyo for this program are selected through a rigorous review process.
