The State of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) has the highest GDP in Germany, driven by its vast consumer population and a dynamic network of industries, research organizations and universities. As the state is also home to the largest Japanese community in Europe, local companies, public institutions and support organizations have a deep understanding of Japanese culture and business practices. With ample resources for both business and daily living, NRW is an attractive location for Japanese companies looking to expand into Europe.

Under this program, we collaborate with partner communities and related organizations in NRW and provide two-way support - helping SMEs from Tokyo expand into NRW and supporting SMEs from NRW expanding into Tokyo.
